We’ve rolled out a set of updates to the Josda application to make it easier to trust the AI’s answers, work confidently with your documents, and get set up smoothly. This release is focused on clarity and reliability—so you can spend less time second-guessing the software and more time making progress.

1) Clearer AI answers with clickable citations

One of the most common questions people have when using an AI assistant is simple: “Where did that come from?” When Josda’s AI uses your uploaded documents to answer a question, you should be able to verify the source quickly.

With this update, you’ll now see:

  • Numbered citation markers (like small [1], [2], [3]) next to statements that come from a specific document.
  • Clickable citation badges you can open to see which document was used, what pages it came from, and a short snippet for context.
  • In some cases, a summary list of citations under an answer, so you can jump directly to the underlying materials.

Behind the scenes, we’ve also upgraded the AI model, so you should see more precise, better-grounded answers—especially when you’re asking questions about estate paperwork.

2) Smoother, more reliable document downloads

Downloading documents should be boring. Click a button, get the file—every time. This release improves the download experience so you can trust it will work consistently.

What’s changed:

  • When you click Download, Josda now creates a secure, time-limited link and opens the document in a new tab.
  • If something goes wrong, you’ll see clearer error messages instead of silent failures.

The goal is straightforward: when you click “Download,” the file should open reliably.

3) Onboarding and sign-up polish

We also made a set of improvements to the first-time experience—small changes that reduce confusion and make setup feel more predictable.

Updates include:

  • Mobile phone clarification: The sign-up screen now clearly asks for a mobile phone number, which is required so we can send SMS verification codes when needed.
  • More stable referral sign-up: If you come in through a referral link, onboarding now handles state more carefully, reducing edge cases where progress or saved details could get out of sync.
  • Estate context handled automatically: As you move through onboarding, Josda is better at tracking which estate you’re working on, so later screens and documents stay aligned with the right case.

Individually these are minor, but together they should make getting started feel smoother and more dependable.
