This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how Josda Inc. (“Josda,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and safeguards information when you:

  • visit josda.ai or any site we link to this Policy (the “Site”);
  • interact with our social‑media pages, newsletters, webinars, or marketing emails;
  • communicate with us offline (e.g., event booths, phone calls).

IMPORTANT: Different privacy terms—including a Data Processing Agreement (“DPA”)—govern the data you or your end‑users upload to Josda’s subscription SaaS platform. This Policy covers only the marketing‑site and pre‑contract interactions.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (e.g., Social Security numbers, precise GPS, health info) on the Site. If you believe you have inadvertently provided such data, please contact us to request deletion.

We may aggregate or de‑identify data so it no longer identifies an individual. We may use such data for any lawful purpose.

We use first‑party and third‑party cookies, pixels, and local‑storage objects to:

  • remember language or region;
  • perform analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar);
  • deliver advertising on other sites (e.g., LinkedIn Insight Tag).

You can control cookies via:

  • Browser settings. Each browser lets you block or delete cookies.
  • Industry opt‑outs. U.S. users can opt out of interest‑based ads at optout.aboutads.info.
  • Site banner. Where required, the first visit will display a banner to accept or reject non‑essential cookies.

We do not sell personal information for money. We may “share” identifiers with advertising partners for cross‑context behavioral advertising; you may opt out (see Section 8‑B).

7.  Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes stated here, unless a longer period is required by law, contract, or audit needs.  After that, we securely delete or anonymize the data.

8.  Your Privacy Rights

A. U.S. State Privacy Laws (CA, CO, CT, UT, VA, TX, FL, etc.)

Residents of certain U.S. states have rights to:

  1. Access – know the categories and specific pieces of information we hold.
  2. Delete – request deletion of personal information (with exceptions).
  3. Correct – request corrections to inaccurate information.
  4. Opt Out of Sales/Sharing – opt out of (i) sales, (ii) cross‑context ad sharing, or (iii) targeted advertising.
  5. Limit Use of Sensitive Data (where applicable).
  6. Non‑Discrimination – not be treated differently for exercising rights.

How to exercise:
Submit a request via e-mail to info@josda.ai.  We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days (or as the law allows). Authorized agents may act on your behalf with written permission.

B. “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”
California residents can click “Do Not Sell/Share My Info” in our cookie banner or site footer to opt out of cross‑context advertising cookies.

C. EU/EEA, UK, & Switzerland (GDPR / UK‑GDPR / FDPA)
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have rights to:

  • Access, rectify, or erase personal data.
  • Restrict or object to processing.
  • Data portability.
  • Withdraw consent at any time (does not affect past processing).
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g., the Irish DPC or UK ICO).

Because Josda does not maintain an Article 27 representative in the EU or UK, please direct any GDPR‑related request by email to info@josda.ai or by postal mail/phone at the addresses in Section 15. We will handle your request in accordance with applicable law and within the timelines set by the GDPR/UK‑GDPR.

9. International Data Transfers

Josda is in the United States. When we transfer data from other countries:

  • We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission and the UK ICO.
  • We may participate in the EU‑U.S. Data Privacy Framework (if certified).
  • We implement technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, role‑based access, vendor diligence).
10. Security

We use industry‑standard safeguards to protect information, including:

  • TLS 1.2 encryption in transit;
  • AES‑256 encryption at rest for databases;
  • Least‑privilege access controls and MFA;
  • Regular penetration tests and vulnerability scanning.

No internet transmission or storage system is 100 percent secure; therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can delete it.

12. Third‑Party Sites & Services

The Site may link to external sites (e.g., IRS, Veterans Affairs). We do not control their privacy practices. Review each third‑party policy before sharing information.

13. AI‑Generated Content & Analytics

When you use interactive demos or chatbots on the Site, we may capture the conversation log to improve our AI models and support services. We do not use these logs for advertising. Logs are stored in the United States and retained for no longer than 18 months unless aggregated or anonymized.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. If we make material changes, we will notify you by:

  • updating the “Last Updated” date;
  • posting the revised Policy on the Site;
  • emailing registered users (where we have a valid address).

Unless otherwise stated, the revised Policy is effective when posted.
